Wedding Photography at Durham Registry Office and The Honest Lawyer
When Clare first contacted me about their wedding photography at Durham Registry Office, she was a bit unsure of paying for a professional photographer. Friends and family were saying to save the money and as friends and family will be taking photos to capture the day. We met for a consultation to discuss what style of photography Clare would like and which parts of the day she would like capturing. Clare decided she wanted the main ceremony, group photos afterwards and then the evening reception with the cutting of the cake.
Saturday 9th July came, I checked my weather app as usual and the weather forecast was ok, with some sun which is always a bonus. I set off from Bishop Auckland and arrived at Durham Registry Office at 1:45PM for a 2PM ceremony. I took some photos of the groom and his best man who was actually the bride and groom’s son, everyone was in good spirits waiting for the bride to arrive.
Everyone moved inside and I captured some images of the groom waiting nervously. The ceremony room at Durham Registry Office was a really nice size, enough to fit close family and friends. It felt very homely. It wasn’t long to wait as I moved outside for the bride and her bridesmaid which was the bride and groom’s daughter to arrive. They looked lovely as ever on a wedding day, with the running theme throughout of light pink.
The ceremony was lovely with plenty of smiles and laughter. You can tell from the photos the mood of the day and the bride and groom look perfect together.
After the ceremony we went straight on to The Honest Lawyer for group photos and the wedding breakfast. The family stopped to pose for everyone to take photos, with the wedding car in the background from prestige365.com
After the photos, I left the wedding party and guests to enjoy their wedding breakfast, and I returned later for the evening reception. As I arrived for the evening reception everyone was much more relaxed and letting their hair down. We arranged a time for the cutting of the cake, and I went about capturing natural wedding photos of the guests.
I ended my photography coverage after the cutting of the cake, and left the wedding party to enjoy the rest of their night.
