Adam & Charlotte Wedding at St Michael & All Angels Church, Frosterley, County Durham

Adam & Charlotte had their wedding in a lovely church set back off the main road in Frosterley.  I drove past the church and missed it the first time, and only noticed the side road for the church when I saw the ‘wedding this way…’ sign.  I doubled back and headed up the road up to St Michael & All Angels Church.  I met Adam and his best man and took my first images of the day, I then proceeded into the church to conduct a recce of the lighting and layout.

Adam presented me with some hay bales, in which I wasn’t sure what to say πŸ™‚  He had seen some wedding photos he really liked in which the bride and groom and family members were sat on the hay bales for family photos.

I waited for Charlotte and her bridesmaids at the church gate.  The bridesmaids walked down the lane, then Charlotte arrived in a very smart blue Bentley car.

Then came the ‘I do’s’ and the signing of the register, followed by the blessing.

We had an amazing setting out the back of the church; past all of the headstones in the corner of the plot was space for the hay bales with lovely autumn colours in the leaves on the trees and that had dropped leaving a lovely colourful carpet of leaves.

We took the family group photos, and then I left the photography coverage and said goodbye to Adam & Charlotte for them to enjoy the rest of their day.
